Data Editing

Data Editing Swipe Feature Shifting the feature is done if there is a feature whose placement does not match the actual conditions in the satellite image. The feature shift can be done if the entire feature will be shifted entirely. 1. Enter into editing mode by right-clicking on the layer (Irrigation Area or Irrigation Channel) Edit Features Start Editing. 2. In the Editor toolbar click Edit Tool click feature and drag to the actual location in the satellite image. 3. If the editing process is complete in the Editor toolbar click Editor Save Edits Stop Editing Edit Vertices Edit Feature is used to fix vectors, both lines and polygons. Basically, editing vertices is done by pulling the vertices in a shp. So when this tool is used, the nodes that have been created during digitization will reappear and can be drawn according to the reference (satellite image). These node points can be added as needed. 1. Enter into editing mode by right-clicking on the layer (Irrigation Area...

Data Identification

Gambar
Data Identification  Data identification is intended to examine vectors from irrigation areas and irrigation canals that previously existed and had been entered into the geodatabase. Identification includes: a. Coordinate System; b. Vector Geometry Accuracy on Satellite Imagery; Coordinate System The coordinate system according to the One Map Policy standard is the Geographic coordinate system using the 1984 WGS ellipsoid reference. If the shp coordinate system does not comply with these provisions, it must be converted to WGS 1984 first. The following explains how to check the coordinate system and how to convert it. 1. Right-click the layer that you want to check for the coordinate system Properties select tab                          Source️ Check the coordinate system. 2. Make sure the coordinate system is as shown in the example. If different, for example: UTM with       ...

Data Display

Data Display 1. Open the ArcMap application in the Windows Start Menu. Start ArcGIS ArcMap . 2. If a dialog appears (ArcMap - Getting Started) it can be ignored by clicking Cancel. 3. Enter shp by clicking Add Data in the Standard toolbar. Add Data can also be done by right-clicking Layers on the Table of Contents ️ Add Data 4. Browse the shp of irrigation areas and irrigation canals in the geodatabase created in the previous chapter. If needed, also add a base map feature class as limit administration, River or reservoir. Click Add for add it to layers. 5. The feature will appear in the display. Display management in the display can be arranged in the Table of Contents layer. The general command used for selected shp extents is to use the Zoom to Layer feature by right-clicking the layer (shp) you want to extend clicking Zoom To Layer 6. Set the display of each layer to make it easier to identify the shp data for irrigation areas and irrigation networks. The settings c...

SPATIAL DATA EDITING

Gambar
SPATIAL DATA EDITING This chapter is intended to perform editing of pre-existing maps. Maps can be in the form of shp or non-shp data such as CAD, GPS or kml. If the data owned is not shp, then data conversion must be done first. The shp data is then identified for its appearance on satellite imagery. If there are geometric errors, then in this chapter several features have been described in the ArcMap application that can be used for editing shp data. Convert Data to Shapefile (shp) Geographic Information System data can be sourced from non-shp data, such as: Global Positioning System (GPS) data, digitized data on Google Earth and data from Ms. Excel. To be able to use these data in ArcGIS applications, users need to convert data. CAD Data Conversion (dwg) There are two ways that can be used to convert dwg formatted data into shp data. The first method is data cleansing, which is basically done to identify and delete unnecessary layers in the CAD file. This method is highly recommende...
