Flow of Preparation of Irrigation Area Map

The flow of the preparation of the irrigation area map begins with an inventory of the data owned, including the Paddy Land Map, CSRT, Network and Building Scheme, As-Built Drawing and Design Situation Map. Through the process of delineation, field survey and analysis, it is hoped that a Map of Standard, Potential and Functional Irrigation Areas will be produced.

Coordinate System and Map Projection Map as input data, information representation model and data analysis result model is an important part of GIS. A map is a picture of part or all of the earth's surface, both above and below the surface and presented on a flat plane at a certain scale and projection (mathematically). There are 2 coordinate systems that are generally used in the preparation of geographic information systems, namely the geographic coordinate system and the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system. Geographic Coordinate System The Geographic Coordinate System consists of latitude that divides evenly from the equator towards the poles and longitude that divides the equator evenly. SPATIAL DATA EDITING This chapter is intended to perform editing of pre-existing maps. Maps can be in the form of shp or non-shp data such as CAD, GPS or kml. If the data owned is not shp, then data conversion must be done first. The shp data is then identified for its appearance on satellite imagery. If there are geometric errors, then in this chapter several features have been described in the ArcMap application that can be used for editing shp data. Convert Data to Shapefile (shp) Geographic Information System data can be sourced from non-shp data, such as: Global Positioning System (GPS) data, digitized data on Google Earth and data from Ms. Excel.
