Add Data shp and Satellite Image

In the previous sub-chapter it was explained that the newly created shp in the ArcMap Catalog will be automatically added to the Table of Contents. However, it is different if the ArcMap has just been opened while the shp has been created in ArcCatalog, the data can simply be added to the Table of Contents (TOC). Add data in this section at the same time is done to call the satellite image into the TOC.
1. Open the ArcMap application in the Windows Start Menu. Start ArcGIS ArcMap
2. If a dialog appears (ArcMap - Getting Started) it can be ignored by clicking Cancel.

3. Enter data by clicking Add Data in the Standard toolbar.

    Add Data can also be done by right-clicking Layers on the Table of Contents

4. Browse raster data in the form of SPOT 6 and 7 satellite images that have been included in the                training data package. Satellite images are provided in several versions depending on the availability     of data, some are in the form of pieces in one province, some are already formed in one mosaic.            Select all the pieces/1 of the satellite image mosaic click Add.


5. Add also shp Irrigation Areas, Irrigation Channels and Irrigation Buildings in the Table of Contents.

6. To facilitate the orientation of the location, it has been included in the training package in the form of     a feature class base map of sub-district/district/city/provincial boundaries, rivers and reservoirs. Just        as before, enter the data into the Table of Contents by Add Data.
7. Next is to set the symbology of each layer that has been added earlier. This stage is carried out to            provide a display configuration (line thickness, coloring, etc.) of the layer as needed. For this stage,        the symbology used is enough with single coloring without categories. Click the symbol under the        layer name set the color and line configuration in the Symbol Selector. Change the color and                    thickness as needed on each layer click OK.

 Data Editing Swipe Feature Shifting the feature is done if there is a feature whose placement does not match the actual conditions in the satellite image. The feature shift can be done if the entire feature will be shifted entirely. 1. Enter into editing mode by right-clicking on the layer (Irrigation Area or Irrigation Channel) Edit Features Start Editing. 2. In the Editor toolbar click Edit Tool click feature and drag to the actual location in the satellite image. 3. If the editing process is complete in the Editor toolbar click Editor Save Edits Stop Editing Edit Vertices Edit Feature is used to fix vectors, both lines and polygons. Basically, editing vertices is done by pulling the vertices in a shp. So when this tool is used, the nodes that have been created during digitization will reappear and can be drawn according to the reference (satellite image). Coordinate System and Map Projection Map as input data, information representation model and data analysis result model is an important part of GIS. A map is a picture of part or all of the earth's surface, both above and below the surface and presented on a flat plane at a certain scale and projection (mathematically). There are 2 coordinate systems that are generally used in the preparation of geographic information systems, namely the geographic coordinate system and the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system.
